February, 28 2009 - Bittersweet news

I'm back! You all thought I already gave up with the website project, didn't you? Well, you were wrong! I wanted so much to put online more and more drawings, but sadly my mac had some problems (i won't go into details, its' too painful to stand both for my heart AND wallet) so I had to freeze my updates in the last two weeks.
But here I am again, ready to present to you the Graphic Art gallery! Ta-daaaan!
In there you will find the christmas card from last year and three graphic works I did. The first one is for the Free Magenta Project, an online protest campaign that started last here when Deutsche Telekom legally obtained the copyrights for the color magenta. Sick, uh? Take a look at the Free Magenta website to see the other works and buy the best-entries book! The second one is a graphic work I did for an exhibition at Future Film Festival in Bologna (2007) and the third is just a vectorial doodle I really like.
Don't forget to take a look at the Illustration gallery, 'cuz I added two cute blue bitter pics. Boohoo, I'm such a depressing person. :) Zau!

February, 11 2009 - Updates and revelations

Ok, due to large demand, the news section has been translated and will be, from now on, in italian also. I thought this was unneccessary, but apparently I was wrong.
I added some interesting sites in the links page and a disclaimer on images' copyright. If this wasn't clear before, everything you'll find in this site is MINE, MINE, MINE! It's my preciousssssss! And I have absolutely no problem to lend pictures to anybody, as long as you are gonna give me credit for that.
Another goodie: if you look in your browser, on the tab that opens this page, you'll notice a cuuute little pic. It's called favicon. Gh!
I also decided to open the illustration page, even though so far there's only one picture (you can see the thumbnail here on the right). It's a "teaser" for a huge, titanic project I'm working on since months, that I hope to start, nevertheless to end, someday.
The story's main character is a girl, and there're gonna be flashbacks, visions, nightmares, hedgehogs and mice. Since this is going to be a kolossal, I believe we are talking about my first "graphic novel" - as now they like to call them (sheesh..). Enough with revelations!
I'm still collecting pictures to put in the graphic art page, as soon as I'm ready we're going on with that as well. In the meanwhile, stay alive. Sbaragnau!

February, 09 2009 - Christmas Present

Since I'm always so thoughtful and nice, last year I decided I would have saved my money AND my ass with christmas presents, drawing an illustrated gift card with a poem that explains why I couldn't afford to buy something more meaningful. I printed it and sent it over to all the people I care about, who appreciated it for the majority.
Nevertheless, somebody dared to be disappointed because it was not a personalized gift. To these people I say: I spent a whole freaking day working on the pagination of this card! Just take the damn artcraft, for god's sake.
Besides, I think it's a cute gift: it tells you so much about me if you read between the lines...of course you have to understand italian to do that. Hahaha.

February, 08 2009 - Back on the Net

tekkonkinkreetHere we are. New website.
It's been ages since I put online my art and stuff, precisely almost three years...wow. I swear, I'll be more productive and interactive from now on!
For all you incurable nostaligcs: you can still surf the old site here. Since I'm still fond on it I will leave it online for a while, at least the time that is needed to upload all the old stuff to this new database (AND when I'll finally find a way to get a hold of the people from the hosting provider......ok, actually I lost my ftp pws for the old site and now I'm stucked. hehe.)
Many sections of this brand new site are still to be filled, but so far you can take a look at my Comics page, and the Web section.
As you might have noticed from those two cute little flags up there on the right, I'll also try to keep this site bilingual. So far not all of it is translated, therefore if you don't speak both english and italian you'll have to wait to fully appreciate the power of its contents.
Later on I will post all the new stuff I keep uploading, and news about friends of mine that are involved in art and worth seeing, so come back to check this page!
Oh, and about this picture...I used this image just as a sample while working on the html template, but I eventually got used to it so I will keep it in the post. Have you ever watched Tekkonkinkreet? If not, please do! It's a such a great movie.
